Maserati will launch three electric cars next year, the Italian premium brand announced earlier last month. It follows parent company Stellantis’ announcement earlier in March about all its brands getting all-electric models from 2025, and Maserati would be one of tehm. The entire line-up will be electric by 2030.

Maserati all-electric Folgore line-up
The electric range, named Folgore, will be led by a new 1,200hp Maserati Granturismo coupe, due to be revealed later this year.
Maserati said this “will offer cutting-edge technical solutions derived from Formula E, superb performance, comfort and elegance, all typical of the Trident”. It added that it would achieve a sub-3.0sec 0-100kph benchmark sprint and a top speed around 300kph.
The soft-top equivalent, the Maserati Grancabrio, will also arrive next year, the firm confirmed.
The delayed Maserati Grecale SUV, which was recently unveiled with internal combustion engines first, one of which also features mild-hybrid technology, will also receive an electric version next year.
Beyond next year's model onslaught, Maserati outlined three more models that will have electric variants arriving before 2025: the MC20 supercar, the next-generation Quattroporte saloon and the Levante SUV.
Maserati: global sales performance 2021
Last year, Maserati sold 24,269 cars worldwide, which is a 41 percent year-on-year growth in an overall market that suffered hugely from component shortages.
The Maserati Levante made up 59 percent of the sales, the Maserati Ghibli accounted for 33 percent and the well-received Maserati MC20 took 1 percent. Global market share was 2.4 percent and net revenues were £1.7 billion (around Rs 170 crore).
Although the Ghibli accounted for a third of Maserati’s sales last year, it doesn't factor into the brand’s future plans. However, a production end date for the large saloon, which was launched in 2013, hasn’t yet been confirmed.
Maserati in India
Back here in India, Maserati has lately had a very quite stinct, although all that is going to change very soon. The Italian carmaker is going to launch two new models in India this year - the Levante Hybrid and the flagship MC20 supercar - which will likely be followed by the Grecale SUV sometime next year.
