2022 Maruti Suzuki Ertiga price, variants

Maruti Suzuki recently launched the all-new Ertiga priced between Rs 8.35 lakh-12.79 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). While exterior and interior cosmetic updates are very minimal, the biggest update on the new Ertiga lies under its hood. Like most new Maruti models, the Ertiga now benefits from DualJet engine technology and is also the first model to debut Maruti’s new 6-speed automatic gearbox in India.

  • New Ertiga available in four trims: LXi, VXi, ZXi and ZXi+
  • Factory-fitted CNG kit offered on mid-spec VXi and ZXi
  • Rivals the Kia Carens and Mahindra Marazzo

2022 Maruti Suzuki Ertiga: variant break-up, engine details

Just like the outgoing model, the new Ertiga continues to be offered in four trims – LXi, VXi, ZXi and ZXi+. Powered by a sole 1.5-litre engine, the Ertiga can run on both, petrol and CNG. The CNG kit is being offered on the mid-spec VXi and ZXi trims. In the previous iteration of the Ertiga, the CNG kit was only offered on the second-from-base VXi.

All four trims come with a 5-speed manual gearbox as standard. Meanwhile, the new 6-speed automatic gearbox is being offered on all but the base LXi. As for the engine itself, the new 1.5-litre K15C DualJet four-cylinder engine produces 103hp and 136.8Nm when run on petrol and 87hp and 121.5Nm on CNG. It continues to feature Maruti’s smart hybrid technology, and the 6-speed automatic gearbox even features paddle shifters.

Maruti claims a fuel efficiency of 20.51kpl with the manual gearbox and 20.30kpl with the new automatic gearbox. Meanwhile, the CNG variants are claimed to return 26.11km/kg.
