Just days before its launch, images of the TVS Ronin have surfaced online, giving us a good look at what the new bike looks like. The images seem to be taken from the bike’s product brochure.
TVS Ronin: design
The TVS Ronin looks like a mash-up between a Scrambler and cafe racer motorcycle. The bike sports a round headlight, teardrop-shaped fuel tank, flat side panel and a brown, single-piece seat with a tubular grab-rail at the back. The tail-light and indicators are located below the seat, while the rear-subframe is exposed.
Other design elements include curved fenders, dual-tone paint, blacked-out engine and a large belly pan underneath, most likely made of plastic. The bike gets a large side slung exhaust, with a silver-coloured tip on the end can.
Overall, the Ronin's design is certainly unlike anything we've seen from TVS in the past.
TVS Ronin: equipment
The bike seems to have a round instrument cluster and it is likely to feature TVS' Smart Xonnect Bluetooth connectivity system. It should display incoming calls, SMS, email alerts and turn-by-turn navigation.
TVS Ronin: chassis and engine
The chassis looks new and is suspended by a gold-coloured USD fork and monoshock at the back. The bike rides on multi-spoke alloy wheels that are shod with dual-purpose tyres, hinting at its Scrambler credentials.
Braking duties are taken care of by disc brakes at both ends, likely with dual-channel ABS.
As for the engine, we expect to see a brand new, air- and oil-cooled unit to power the Ronin. It is likely that this engine could have a higher cubic capacity than the TVS Apache RTR 200 4V.
TVS Ronin: launch
The TVS Ronin is set to be launched on July 6 and bookings are expected to open soon after. We will be riding the TVS Ronin soon, so stay tuned for the review and more details on our social media pages.
