I’m looking to buy a C segment SUV in the Rs 10 lakh-11 lakh range, which can comfortably seat four. I drive around 20km a day in the city and about 500km once a month on the highway, averaging around 10,000km per year. I have shortlisted the Renault Kiger 1.0Rxt (O), Nissan Magnite and Tata Punch. Is a turbo-engine needed for my usage, or would a normal engine be fine?

Autocar India says: Between the Tata Punch, Renault Kiger and Nissan Magnite, we feel the Magnite is the best of the lot as it offers a good mix of features, practicality and space. Whilst the base 1.0-litre naturally aspirated engine will suffice for city use, it could be underpowered on the highway with your family and luggage.
The turbo variant is a far better option and worth the extra money because it will make overtaking and cruising on the highway much easier. Also, the turbo engine is much smoother and superior than the naturally aspirated version.
