The race in Jerez saw the red flags come out again after a nasty crash at Turn 2 in the first lap. After the race was resumed, it was a battle for the top three spots between Francesco Bagnaia and the two KTM riders - Brad Binder and Jack Miller. The reigning world champion came out on top to take the lead in the race and the championship once again. It was an unfortunate day for Yamaha as Fabio crashed and had to serve a long lap penalty.
