Kia Sonet facelift exterior design changes
The images show the Sonet facelift will get a new design for its 16-inch dual-tone alloy wheels. Furthermore, the compact SUV can be seen with redesigned LED head- and tail-lights that look similar to the ones seen on the new Seltos. Kia is likely to offer a revised grille and a new design for the front and rear bumpers.
Kia Sonet facelift interior design
Inside, Kia hasn’t changed much in the upcoming Sonet. The compact SUV now has a new design for the climate controls. It still has a small screen for displaying details of the climate control but instead of two rows of buttons, it now has one row of buttons and a set of toggles.
Apart from this, the Sonet facelift can also be seen with a new digital instrument cluster, akin to the one seen on the Venue facelift. Additionally, the Sonet also gets a new brown colour for the upholstery and a centre armrest for the second-row passengers. While the Sonet originally came with an arm rest for the rear passengers, it was recently removed but will make a comeback with the upcoming facelift.
Kia Sonet facelift powertrain
The Sonet facelift is likely to continue with the existing 83hp, 115Nm, 1.2-litre petrol engine, a 120hp, 172Nm, 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine and a 116hp, 250Nm, 1.5-litre diesel engine. The petrol engine is expected to be solely mated to a 5-speed manual, while the turbo-petrol and diesel engines are likely to retain the 6-speed iMT. For automatics, the turbo-petrol engine will get a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic, whereas the diesel engine will get a 6-speed automatic.
