For a limited time only, Bajaj has rolled out a discount on the Chetak electric scooter in Karnataka and Tamil Nadu. This brings down the price of the Chetak to Rs 1.15 lakh in those states. In other states, the Chetak’s price remains unchanged and this discount is valid only till stocks last.

The Chetak EV is Bajaj’s first foray into the growing electric two-wheeler market and currently, it is only available in one variant. It is powered by a 2.9kWh battery pack with a claimed IDC range of 108km and a charging time of 5 hours. The mid-mounted motor on the Chetak is rated for 4.2kW of peak power and claimed top speed stands at 63kph. Bajaj is also in the process of developing a simpler, more affordable variant of the Chetak with a hub-mounted motor, and to read more about that, tap here.
