The newly introduced Mahindra XUV 3XO seems to be gathering good customer interest. The company announced last week that it has already received around 50,000 bookings for the SUV, and deliveries will commence next week, on May 26. Dealers said the waiting period for some variants is as high as six months.
- Most XUV 3XO bookings are for mid-spec AX5, AX5 L trims
- Everest White and Nebula Blue are the top colour choices
- Waiting period is up to six months for entry-level variants
Mahindra XUV 3XO: variants, features, colours in-demand
A quick check with Mahindra dealers suggests that the XUV 3XO’s AX5 and AX5 L trims comprise the majority of bookings at most outlets. Features on the Mahindra XUV 3XO AX5 include 16-inch diamond cut alloys, a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, connected car tech, dual-zone climate control, a reverse camera, TPMS, and electrically adjustable wing mirrors, among other features. Prices for AX5 variants start at Rs 10.69 lakh.
The XUV 3XO AX5 L variants, priced from Rs 11.99 lakh onwards, get Level 2 ADAS, a 360-degree camera, an electronic parking brake and a cooled glove box. Surprisingly, these two variants do not come with XUV 3XO’s ‘first-in-class’ panoramic sunroof option, indicating that customers are still prioritising important convenience features.
Dealers told us that the top-spec XUV 3XO AX7 and AX7 L options, which boast the aforementioned sunroof, have gathered a decent number of bookings in some cities, though not nearly as many as the morte popular mid-spec trims.
As far as exterior paint shades go, Everest White and Nebula Blue appear to be customer favourites across variants, followed by Gravity Grey and Stealth Black.

Mahindra XUV 3XO: waiting periods
As we have reported earlier, deliveries for the mid-spec AX5, AX5 L, MX3 and MX3 Pro trims will commence on May 26. However, dealers said despatches for the entry-level MX1, MX2 and MX2 Pro trims, along with the top-spec AX7 and AX7 L variants, have not yet begun. Despatches for the base variants are expected to start by mid to late June, while the range-toppers are expected to be despatched by late June or early July.
Customers booking the AX7 and the AX7 L variants are being told that the waiting period is at least three months. Meanwhile, waiting periods for the entry-level trims are said to strecth up to six months.
