Tata Curvv EV battery details
Like other Tata Motors EVs, the Curvv too will have two battery options: higher variants will get a 55kWh one, while lower variants are expected to use the 40.5kWh battery from the Nexon LR models.
Details about the range of the new 55kWh battery are still unavailable. However, based on the 40.5kWh battery's ARAI-claimed range of 465km, the larger battery is expected to exceed 550km on a single charge. Comparatively, upcoming rivals of the Curvv EV such as the Creta EV and the Maruti eVX are expected to feature 45kWh and 60kWh batteries, respectively.
Both variants of the Curvv EV will be powered by a front-axle mounted electric motor. Exact specifications are expected closer to its launch on August 7. Tata Curvv petrol and diesel prices will also be revealed on the same day.
Tata Curvv EV features
The Curvv will come very generously equipped with features like a 12.3-inch touchscreen, a fully-digital driver’s display, a segment-first powered tail gate with gesture function, a panoramic sunroof, reclining rear seat, ventilated front seats, and more. The top-spec variants will get ADAS Level 2 safety tech.
Upon launch, the Curvv will also be joined by the Citroen Basalt as the other coupe-SUV in the midsize SUV space, essentially conceiving an all-new sub-segment.
