Hyundai Alcazar facelift revealed; bookings open

Hyundai India has revealed the Alcazar facelift, and announced the commencement of bookings at its dealerships, and online portal. The booking amount for the refreshed three-row SUV is set at Rs 25,000. The Hyundai Alcazar facelift comes in four trim levels and six and seven-seat configurations, along with petrol and diesel engine options, each with their respective manual and automatic gearbox options.

The Alcazar facelift will be offered in Executive, Prestige, Platinum and Signature variants, with the top-spec Signature expected to get more equipment, especially in terms of connected car tech and a Level 2 ADAS suite, than the outgoing model. 

In terms of design, the refreshed three-row SUV gets slim, Creta facelift-like nose, though with H-shaped DRLs are unique, while the grille, which is flanked by two light units, and front bumper are also new. The sides feature new-design 18-inch alloy wheels, and at the rear, the tail-lights also feature an H-shaped pattern, with an LED light bar connecting the units, and a new silver-finished bumper. The brand is also offering a total of nine colour options, including a new Robust Emerald Matte finish.

More details regarding the Alcazar facelift, such as the exact variant break-up and its interiors, have yet to be revealed, but Hyundai has confirmed the 160hp, 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine and the 116hp, 1.5-litre diesel unit will continue, as will their respective manual and automatic gearbox options; the petrol has a 7-speed dual-clutch, while the diesel gets a 6-speed torque convertor. 

Prices for the Hyundai Alcazar facelift will be revealed on September 9, but we expect it to cost a small premium over the current model, which is priced between Rs 16.78 lakh and Rs 20.64 lakh for the petrol models, and beteen Rs 17.78 lakh and Rs 21.28 lakh for the diesel variants. Meanwhile, check out our guide to the upcoming three-row SUV.
