The XUV700 AX7L AT variant is precisely Rs 1.32 lakh (on-road, Mumbai) more than the Harrier Fearless+ DT AT. The Harrier gets a few additional features like a gesture-controlled tailgate, auto-dimming IRVM, 4-way powered co-driver’s seat, smart e-shifter, and terrain response modes. However, the Mahindra has a more powerful and refined engine, so please help me pick.

Autocar India says: The Harrier does have a slight edge when it comes to features, especially a few important ones like cooled seats. However, features like the terrain response modes aren’t of much value, unless you are doing some hard-core off-roading. In that case, you’d be better off with a 4x4, which the Harrier is not. The XUV700 has a much better engine than the Harrier’s outdated Fiat-sourced motor, and frankly, that is enough to strongly tip the scales in the XUV700’s favour. It is a better SUV overall and the one you should buy.
