Mercedes-AMG GT Pro Motorsport Collectors Edition

Mercedes has revealed a Formula 1-inspired version of its track-focused AMG GT 63 Pro called the Motorsport Collectors Edition. The special model is limited to just 200 units, and features a livery similar to the one used by the brand’s W14 and W15 F1 cars in the 2023 and 2024 seasons respectively.

Mercedes-AMG GT 63 Pro Motorsport Collectors Edition: what’s new?

The limited-run car is finished in Obsidian Black metallic paint, gets hand-painted Mercedes stars and contrasting stripes in title sponsor Petronas’ corporate aqua blue colour. The aqua blue is also seen on the front and rear splitters, on the side skirts, shoulder line, around the 21-inch wheels as well as on the brake callipers.

The Motorsport Collectors Edition car also gets the AMG Night Package, which brings along a blacked-out treatment for the grille and Mercedes star badges. It also gets a panoramic glass roof as well as a fixed rear spoiler, which are optional extras on the standard GT. It rides on Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2R Cup tyres, 295/30 ZR21 section at the front and 305/30 ZR21 at the rear.

On the inside, the special edition gets seats finished in black nappa leather and microfiber cloth, with stitching in aqua blue. It gets AMG door-sill coated in black and illuminated in aqua blue. The Motorsport Collectors Edition also gets a special AMG indoor car cover.

Mercedes-AMG GT 63 Pro Motorsport Collectors Edition: powertrain, specs

Powering the Motorsport Collectors Edition is the same 4.0‑litre V8 twin-turbo engine as the standard GT 63 Pro 4Matic+ that puts out 612hp. The company claims that it has introduced some ‘aerodynamic fine-tuning’ with reduced lift and more powerful cooling for enhanced driving dynamics.

Pricing for the AMG GT 63 Pro 4Matic+ Motorsport Collectors Edition is yet to be revealed. The special edition is not expected to be brought to the Indian market.
