Triumph Speed 400 variant, launch details

The teaser shared by Triumph confirms that this upcoming model is based on the Speed 400, with the badging visible in the image. What can also be seen is bar-end mirrors on this new bike. Since the badging clearly says Speed 400, expect the fundamentals of this new Triumph to be very similar to the small neo-retro roadster.

There are multiple possibilities as to what this new bike could be. It could be some special edition or limited edition variant with some accessories as standard. Alternatively, this could also be the Thruxton 400 that has been spied testing before, tap HERE to read more on that. The small cafe racer has a lot in common with the Speed 400, except for the more committed ergonomics. There is also the possibility that the Speed 400 could be getting new colours and it remains to be seen what this final product turns out to be.

To jog your memory, the Triumph Speed 400 is the most affordable gateway into the British brand, at Rs 2.34 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). Powering it is a liquid-cooled, 398cc, single-cylinder motor making 40hp and 37.5Nm of torque, with a six-speed gearbox.
